Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking an Enhanced Pupil Support Assistant for Perth Academy's Intensive Support Provision. The role supports pupils with additional needs across social, emotional, learning, communication and physical domains.

It includes supervision during breaks and lunchtimes and requires confidentiality and teamwork. The successful candidate will be nurturing, motivated and contribute to the ISP and wider school life, upholding values and engaging with safeguarding checks as

  • Experience (paid/voluntary) of supporting pupils and young people with additional needs is desirable.
  • Confidentiality in relation to young people and their families must be maintained.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a nurturing, patient approach.

£12,336 - £13,421 (18 Hours per week, Term-time only)

An exciting opportunity, for a Enhanced Pupil Support Assistant has arisen in Perth Academy's Intensive Support Provision (ISP). You will work as part of our team to support a range of pupils with additional needs including social and emotional, learning, communication and physical; with many of our pupils presenting with Additional Support Needs. Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.

We are looking for a candidate to support our learners to access their individual curricular pathways. This role also includes supporting learners during break and lunchtimes. We are seeking a nurturing practitioner who is highly motivated and will play an active role in the life and work of the ISP and wider school. You should demonstrate kindness, empathy and patience; be solution focused but also able to work as part of a team.

Experience (paid/voluntary) of supporting pupils and young people with additional needs is desirable. You should be able to demonstrate confidentiality in relation to young people and their families at all times.
