Perth and Kinross Council in Perth is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join Perth Academy. You will teach Maths across BGE levels and contribute to curriculum development, with preparation and assessment responsibilities.

The post requires GTCS registration and experience of differentiated maths delivery; a commitment to pupil welfare, safeguarding, and working with parents. Salary ranges from £36,159 to £54,453 with generous leave and pension benefits.

You have the opportunity to join our Mathematics department as a Mathematics teacher.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Teaching assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
• Developing the school curriculum led by your Principal Teacher.
• Assisting, recording and reporting on the work of pupils.
• Preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with their administration.
• Providing advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
• Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils including fulfilling the role of Home Room Tutor.
• Working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
• Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.
• Participating in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.

Skills & Experience Required

Experience and expertise in teaching differentiated BGE levels 1-3 maths, in addition to the standard senior phase curriculum and qualifications would be an advantage.
