Strood Academy has an exciting opportunity to appoint a talented Teacher of Maths to join us in September 2025.
Our Maths department is highly successful, comprised of talented staff offering a wealth of knowledge and broad skill-set. The successful practitioner will be responsible for teaching across all three key stages, depending on experience and subject knowledge. You will join a committed team of experienced and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), supported by strong and positive leadership within the faculty.
This role offers the chance to work within the wider Trust, collaborating with teaching professionals across various academies. We provide significant internal support and benefits from the Trust's initiatives on curriculum development and raising standards.
Our Key Stage 3 classes are taught using an innovative Maths Mastery method alongside the IB MYP, aiming to develop deep and broad mathematical understanding in students preparing for GCSE studies from Year 9. We invest heavily in ongoing professional development, offering weekly high-quality training and a curriculum focused on conceptual understanding, research-based task design, variation theory, and achievement enhancement. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
