We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our committed and dynamic Maths department.

What We Offer:

  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  • A well-resourced Maths department with a focus on innovative teaching.
  • A culture that celebrates the achievements of both staff and students.
What We Are Looking For:

  • An inspirational teacher who can bring Maths to life for students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to fostering a love of learning and academic excellence.
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to departmental growth and success.

Our school ethos is based on the principle: “if you do the small things right, big things can happen.” We are committed to ensuring every student makes excellent progress and that all aspects of school life equip learners for success now and in the future. We prioritize personal development and aim to create a safe, nurturing, and happy environment. Kidsgrove Secondary School is a great place to learn and work, fostering strong relationships and a family feel.

The school is guided by core values that underpin our achievement culture, with rewards and celebrations at its heart. We have an innovative digital strategy, providing all students and staff with iPads to support learning. This approach enhances assessment techniques, interactive lessons, and promotes independence and enquiry skills. Our technology hub further enriches the curriculum.

We empower our staff through a comprehensive CPD and induction program, including access to our Institute of Education (IoE), which offers networks, subject expertise, and bespoke training. Joining us means becoming part of a professional, committed team dedicated to the school's success and your development.

Sponsored by Shaw Trust, a charity focused on transforming lives, we provide education for children of all abilities. Our innovative curriculum aims to engage students, offering extended school days, enrichment programs, and vocational pathways supported by employers and universities.

We value collaboration across our schools, striving for a shared curriculum that promotes high standards, knowledge, and skills while allowing local flexibility. This approach reduces workload and fosters strong student relationships.

  • Medicash Health & Wellbeing Plan
  • Discount schemes for staff
  • Free Eye Tests
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Opportunities for professional growth through our Institute of Education and trust-led courses, including NPQ qualifications.

Our staff are key to our success. We offer a rewarding employment experience with access to training, leadership support, and opportunities to work across schools within the trust.

Kidsgrove Secondary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers must share this commitment. The position is subject to vetting procedures, including an enhanced DBS check and online safety checks.

We encourage early applications as we review submissions on an ongoing basis and may appoint before the closing date. We are an equal opportunities employer, and CVs alone will not be accepted. Successful candidates will undergo relevant employment checks.
