Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

GSL Education are excited to be recruiting for a Teacher of Maths to join an outstanding school in Southampton.

About the Role
As a Teacher of Maths, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students. You will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential in mathematics, fostering a love for the subject, and preparing them for academic success. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or someone eager to get started in teaching, this is a rewarding and stable opportunity.

Responsibilities for a Teacher of Maths:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons according to the curriculum.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with their learning and ensure they remain on task.
  • Mark work where required and provide constructive feedback.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members.

Requirements of a Teacher of Maths:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT), or equivalent overseas qualifications.
  • Experienced Teaching Assistants (TA) and Cover Supervisors (CS) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching methods and strategies.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
