Job summary

CER Education Liverpool is recruiting an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a Catholic secondary school in Liverpool. The role covers KS3 and KS4 Maths with creative, engaging lessons and strong focus on student progress.

Starting November 2026, the full-time position offers daily pay between £174.71 and £270.00, with potential for temp to perm. ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply. A commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Maths to GCSE in a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum

About the Role

As a Teacher of Maths, you will:

• Teach KS3 and KS4 Maths, delivering creative, engaging and challenging lessons
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback and intervention where needed
• Contribute to the Maths curriculum planning and development of department resources
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Maths to GCSE within a UK secondary school up to and including KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
• Ability to drive is preferred; otherwise, reliable public transport links are essential
