JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Teacher - Post-Primary
REPORTS TO: Principal
Regulations: Teachers’ (Terms and Conditions of Employment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987, Schedule 3, Regulation 5
Other duties may be assigned as appropriate. The post-holder is also expected to promote good relations, equality of opportunity, and adhere to equality legislation.

Qualifications/Professional Membership: Must have a recognized teaching qualification and a Level 6 degree or equivalent in Mathematics. Must be registered with GTCNI.
Experience: At least 1 year of teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4, with experience in using diverse teaching strategies and digital media.
Knowledge: Understanding of the Northern Ireland Curriculum, Safeguarding, SEND Code of Practice, and IT systems in education.
Skills/Abilities: Effective classroom management, inclusive teaching, collaboration, and motivation skills.
Values: Reflection of the school’s values and ethos in professional approach.
Experience supporting numeracy interventions, supporting pupils on the C/D boundary, and willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.
Post involves regulated activity; an Enhanced Disclosure will be required, and the applicant bears the cost.
