REPORTS TO: Principal
Under the Teachers’ (Terms and Conditions of Employment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987, Schedule 3, Regulation 5, the duties include:
This job description is subject to review and may include other duties appropriate to the grade. The post-holder is expected to promote equality and good relations, complying with relevant legislation.
Qualifications: Teaching qualification recognized in Northern Ireland, degree or equivalent in Maths, registration with GTCNI.
Experience: At least 6 months of teaching GCSE Maths within the last 6 years, and experience in another subject area.
Knowledge of NI Curriculum, safeguarding policies, teaching strategies, IT skills, and assessment methods.
Skills: Effective classroom management, inclusive teaching, teamwork, and communication skills.
Values: Alignment with the school's ethos and values.
Experience of teaching Maths for at least 1 year with positive outcomes.
Enhanced Disclosure will be required for posts involving regulated activity, at the applicant's cost.
