Full and Part Time Roles Considered

Are you looking for a teaching role where you can dedicate time to educating international students with high aspirations? Our diverse, inspiring, and growing student body offers an exciting opportunity within the Mathematics faculty. The faculty fosters a collaborative ethos and contributes to numerous whole-school initiatives. In addition to traditional programmes such as GCSE and A-level, students can also pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, University Foundation Programme, and various preparatory programmes (PRE-KS4 and PRE-KS5 one-year programmes).

We seek a teacher who can utilize the international contexts of our classrooms to create an inclusive environment for dialogue and academic development. The ability to teach Mathematics at GCSE and A-level is essential; experience with Further Mathematics, STEP Mathematics, and IBDP courses is desirable.

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to professional development. Opportunities at Worthgate include undertaking NPQ qualifications (Leading Teacher Development, Senior Leadership, NPQ SENCO) in partnership with UCL. Our membership in CATS Global Schools allows for cross-school collaborations and events. Staff are encouraged to engage in these professional relationships.

For September 2025, we are looking for someone who has:

1. Subject specialism in Mathematics, with a degree in a related discipline;
2. A proven record of excellent and reflective classroom practice;
3. Responsive teaching strategies that include high-quality feedback and a focus on literacy;
4. Enthusiasm for ongoing professional learning;
5. The ability to share a global perspective on the importance and usefulness of Mathematics in society;
6. A commitment to providing students with an enriched, holistic boarding school experience.

This role is suitable for experienced teachers, though applications from ambitious new professionals are welcomed and will be considered.
