Teacher of Geography (Maternity Cover)

Ratcliffe College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated Teacher of Geography to join our successful Geography Department on a fixed-term maternity cover contract for up to one year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for Geography and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A Level. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ambitious early career teacher, you will join a supportive and high-achieving department committed to delivering exceptional outcomes and inspiring a love of learning.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A Level.
  • Deliver engaging, challenging and innovative lessons that support excellent pupil progress.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and ambitious department with a strong record of academic success.
  • Support A Level students with coursework (NEA) where appropriate.
  • Contribute to fieldwork activities, including residential visits.
  • Participate fully in the wider life of the School, including tutoring, co-curricular activities and duties.

The department follows the AQA GCSE specification and OCR A Level Geography, with particular A Level teaching focused on Physical Systems and Climate Change topics.
