Working in our highly regarded English Faculty, known for outstanding, innovative teaching and excellent examination results, you will be an inspirational and well-qualified teacher. The role involves teaching Key Stage 3 English, GCSE English Language and Literature, and A-level English Literature. Experience of teaching IB English in the Sixth Form is highly desirable, but applications are welcomed from those who are inexperienced but willing to teach IB English. IB training will be provided as necessary.
Sidcot has a well-established international community with around 30 different nationalities. We aim to offer diversity through our curriculum and schemes of work. A readiness to teach across the ability range is essential, and experience with SEN literacy support and EAL is expected. Above all, we seek a colleague who inspires a love of reading and writing and encourages students to challenge all they hear and read.
