Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a qualified Teacher of English for a full-time role at a single secondary school in Tameside. You will teach KS3 and KS4 English, delivering high-quality lessons and building strong student engagement.

The position runs from October to July with term-time pay. You will join a supportive English department with excellent facilities and resources, and you will contribute to a positive learning environment for young people.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status – Secondary English is required.
• ECT desirable for early career teachers or experienced candidates.
• Good or better prior teaching observations are preferred.
• Natural educator with strong classroom control is essential.
• Passion for English and educating young people is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach KS3 & KS4 English.

A brilliant secondary school located in Tameside is eager to secure a fantastic Teacher of English with the ability to provide high quality learning experiences to KS3 & KS4 students within the English subject.

Teacher of English – Role Information:

• Monday to Friday position based in one secondary school
• Teaching KS3 & KS4 students within English subject
• Fostering engaging and warm class atmosphere
• Usual school working hours – October to July
• Paid between £170 to £205 per day during term-time
