Job summary

Parkside Community College in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Design and Technology to join a high-performing department. You will contribute to a robust curriculum, assessment and whole-school approach to Teaching and Learning and support students across Years 7 to 11.

You will work with a committed team and the United Learning subject advisory network to deliver an engaging and effective DT education, aligned with the Framework for Excellence.

Job description

We are excited to offer the opportunity for a talented professional to be a Teacher of DT at Parkside Community College. Candidates will be well supported by a strong department team and the work of the United Learning subject advisory team. Teaching will be underpinned by a robust, academic curriculum, assessment and a whole school approach to Teaching and Learning.

You will have a vision for achieving outstanding outcomes and a remarkable experience for our students, in line with United Learning's Framework for Excellence.

You will have the opportunity to teach students in Years 7 to 11 and will join a highly committed and successful team who support one another to succeed and have a shared interest in professional learning and development of the subject.

About Parkside Community College

Parkside Community College is a highly oversubscribed school with a long history of success and an excellent reputation for innovation in education. We are situated in three sets of buildings, with the main site, overlooking Parker’s Piece, opening in 1913. We offer 120 places in each year group and believe deeply in the power of ‘human scale’ education, where every student is very well known and strong relationships help teachers to support their classes to exceptional outcomes.
