The Bishop’s Stortford High School in Hertfordshire invites applications for a capable Design & Technology teacher. The successful candidate will teach DT to GCSE and A-level, and contribute to a thriving, supportive department in a brand-new DT facility.
You will work with colleagues to develop practical skills and subject knowledge, uphold high standards of behaviour for learning, and inspire students to excel in creative design. The school offers mentoring for ECTs and a strong CPD program.
The Bishop’s Stortford High School is a popular, oversubscribed 6FE school of 1300 students, providing a single-sex education for boys in Years 7 to 11 with a thriving mixed sixth form of 400 students, one-third of which are female. We relocated to a brand-new school, in September 2024, on a large site less than a mile from our previous location. We have a fantastic new learning environment, supported by cutting edge technology, and huge opportunities for the future. Our vast list of extra-curricular activities and trips means students engage positively with school and represent our values with pride. Staff turnover is very low, as they feel well-supported and enjoy working here, with many choosing the school for their own children.
