Job summary

Kingston Grammar School in London invites applications for a Computing teacher with a passion for Computer Science to deliver engaging lessons at GCSE level and ideally A-level. You will have strong subject knowledge and experience of teaching Computing to secondary students, fostering problem solving and creativity.

You will join a small, dynamic department, be a strong team player and contribute to improving outcomes through innovative, hands-on digital technology activities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

At Kingston Grammar School, we are passionate about equipping students with the skills required to create with digital technology. We have created an innovative and engaging Computing curriculum which develops core skills, such as programming, but also encourages problem‑solving, creativity and resilience. In doing so, we challenge students to get hands-on with physical computing, utilising technologies like the Raspberry Pi, LEGO and Micro:bit to develop cross‑curricular STEAM skills.

We are seeking a candidate with a passion for Computer Science and the technical skill to deliver outstanding Computing lessons. You will have strong subject knowledge, including programming, and experience of delivering Computer Science to GCSE level, but ideally to A-level as well. This role is a fantastic opportunity for those who love to create digital technology to pass that enthusiasm on to our students. The successful applicant will be a strong team player, joining a small but dynamic department, receptive to new ideas, and committed to improving outcomes for students.

Contract: Full-time, permanent, starting in January 2027.
