About The Role
Benefits
We believe in aiming high, working together, being kind, and leading the way. Through weekly individual coaching, year group intellectual preparation time, and whole school professional development, we invest in your growth and development as a teacher to ensure you can excel in creating the best possible learning environment for our pupils to thrive.
Our approach to professional development promises a positive and rewarding journey of growth. Through shared weekly and long-term planning, numerous training days, and access to resources and opportunities within the Ark network, we support our teachers to thrive.
About Us
We are a genuine all-through school, with pupils staying from nursery to sixth form across two sites, ten minutes apart. This allows us to have a long-term, significant impact on our pupils’ lives, starting from our primary school where pupils develop a love of learning.
We have a strong track record of making a significant impact on our pupils’ lives. We adopt a mastery approach in primary, with explicit teaching of skills and concepts for long-term success, enriched by a diverse and culturally capital-enhancing curriculum. Our specialist teaching model allows pupils to benefit from expert instruction in PE, music, art, humanities, and science, with dedicated planning time for each subject.
In September 2019, we merged with Ark Paddington Green Academy to form King Solomon Academy, with Nursery-Year 4 on our Younger Years Site (Crompton Street) and Year 5-13 on our Older Years Site (Penfold Street). In May 2021, we opened a purpose-built nursery for 2-4-year-olds. Our Younger Years Site features outdoor spaces, including a global food garden and a woodland garden for Forest School in EYFS and KS1. Our shared site with secondary provides resources like a large MUGA, basketball courts, science labs, and music facilities.
