Job summary

Westfield School is seeking an outstanding teacher to join our Expressive Arts faculty. The timetable for the maternity cover would include Art and some KS3 Drama, with schemes of learning fully resourced and ready for adaptation by the class teacher.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help develop the curriculum and broaden our extracurricular offer, raising the profile of expressive arts across the school.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art and KS3 Drama as part of the Expressive Arts faculty.
• Deliver lessons using schemes of learning that are fully resourced and adaptable by the class teacher.
• Contribute to developing the Expressive Arts curriculum and expanding extracurricular opportunities.

The faculty comprises of Art, Photography, Drama and Music, with colleagues in the team teaching across these specialisms. The timetable for this maternity cover would include Art but also some KS3 Drama classes. In both subjects, schemes of learning are fully resourced, ready for adaptation by the class teacher. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our thriving Expressive Arts faculty as we continue to develop our curriculum and increase our extra-curricular offer with more opportunities to raise the profile of expressive arts across the school.

Please note, the non-working day would be Thursday. This maternity cover post is temporary until 31/12/2027 or upon earlier return of postholder.
