Teacher of Art with Photography Specialism - September 2025 Start
Full-time | Key Stage 3 & 4 | TLR 3 | Secondary School in Hampshire

Are you a passionate Art Teacher with a flair for photography? Are you looking for a new challenge where you can combine your creativity with leadership opportunities?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a Hampshire secondary school seeking to appoint a talented and driven Teacher of Art to lead on Photography within a vibrant and forward-thinking Art Department. This full-time role will begin in September 2025 and includes a TLR 3 responsibility.

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving department offering Fine Art, 3D Art, Textile Art, and Photography. You'll teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, inspire students through engaging, high-quality lessons, and take the lead on photography - from project planning and curriculum design to developing creative outcomes.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a practitioner who is:

  • Passionate about visual arts and photography
  • Skilled in delivering high-quality Art and Photography lessons across KS3-KS4
  • Able to motivate, challenge, and engage students of all abilities
  • Committed to raising aspirations and academic outcomes
  • Keen to contribute to a collaborative and creative team environment
  • Open to supporting the wider school through additional TLR or SEN responsibilities (e.g., Duke of Edinburgh, ECT Coordinator, or Teacher of the Deaf)
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching photography within the secondary phase
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the 13-16 curriculum
  • Effective classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
