Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher for a Year 2 class in Leatherhead, Surrey from September 2026. This full-time role offers a stable schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:15am-4:00pm) and supports delivering engaging lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum.

The successful candidate will have QTS, KS1 experience, and the ability to differentiate for a range of abilities while building strong student outcomes. DBS and safeguarding compliance are required.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 is required.
• Experience teaching Year 2 is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of KS1 curriculum and assessment framework.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort with Google Classroom across school platforms.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

KS1 Teacher Job in Leatherhead. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive Infant School in Leatherhead, Surrey from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or confident KS1 practitioner to take responsibility for a Year 2 class and make a positive impact on pupils' learning, development and achievement. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging lessons, creating a nurturing classroom environment and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

• Confidence using Google Classroom, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the platform, as it is used throughout the school to support teaching and learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
