Job summary

Sunny Bank Primary School, part of Vision Multi-Academy Trust, is seeking a highly motivated class teacher on a 0.6 FTE basis (Wednesday–Friday) to start by 4 January 2027 or sooner. The role requires high expectations and a commitment to quality-first teaching in a friendly, improving school environment.

The successful applicant will hold QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree, with a track record of effective primary teaching and a collaborative approach within the academy ethos.

Sunny Bank Primary School (Part of Vision Multi-Academy Trust) require a highly motivated, class teacher (0.6 FTE: Wednesday-Friday) with a passion for quality-first teaching and learning for a January 4th 2027 start or before.

The governors/trustees of our successful, motivated, friendly, and happy school invite applicants to the post of class teacher to play a key part in the exciting future of our continually improving school.

Who we are looking for

• A teacher with high expectations of themselves, colleagues and children (experience is desirable but not essential), one who is committed to raising achievement among children of all abilities and backgrounds.
• A well-organised team worker, who can work under pressure while maintaining a positive approach to their work and relationships with others.
• Someone with the willingness to commit fully to the whole staff team and the academy's aims, expectations and ethos.

What we are looking for

• Someone who is professional and self-motivated; wants themselves and others to succeed and works with a moral purpose.
• High expectations of themselves and others.
• The ability to demonstrate the skills of a good teacher, including interesting, encouraging, and engaging children, providing appropriate levels of challenge and using methods and resources that enable all pupils to learn effectively.
• QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree.
• A proven track record of recent and successful class teaching in mixed ability classes in primary age phases.
