Job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust is seeking a Class Teacher for St. Peter's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy, on a permanent basis. You will join a supportive team and contribute to high-quality teaching while upholding the Catholic ethos of the school.

The role requires motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration across the Trust.

Job description

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Class Teacher at St. Peter's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy on a permanent basis. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our successful team of teachers and support the future vision and development of the school and Trust. The main duties of the role are:

  • To contribute to the provision of high-quality teaching and learning to ensure successful outcomes for all
  • To maintain and develop the Catholic ethos of the school, Applicants are advised that schools and colleges designated with a religious character in England and Wales are permitted by law to require certain posts to be filled by practising Catholics or individuals who hold a Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies. Where it is not a requirement of the role to be a practising Catholic, applications are invited from individuals committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Be someone with drive and enthusiasm who will inspire and motivate our pupils
  • Be a highly motivated and creative individual who is committed to developing pupil potential and raising achievement
  • Have a good understanding of the primary phase curriculum
  • Be open to new ideas, committed to working as part of a team and of course have a good sense of humour.
  • Be able to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations
  • Have strong moral and ethical principles and values
