Job summary

Willowbrook Primary School is seeking an inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated school team. This fixed-term position is 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year until 14 February 2027, Monday to Friday.

The role requires delivering high-quality teaching in line with the Teachers’ Standards. As a teacher you will plan, deliver and assess lessons, monitor progress, report to parents and contribute to school improvement.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS/KS1/KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management and high-quality teaching knowledge.
  • Ability to teach all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ needs.
  • Lead by example to maintain high behaviour and achievement.
  • Monitor pupil progress and use data to inform planning and targets.

Salary: MPS - UPS - £34,069 - £52,835 FTE

Willowbrook Primary School are seeking an inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated school team. About the Role

As a Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers’ Standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs
  • Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target‑setting
  • Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school
  • Contributing to performance management, training, and whole‑school initiatives
  • Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children’s learning.

Essential attributes include:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT
  • Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning
  • Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience leading a curriculum area
  • Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development
  • Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages
  • Ability to organise extra‑curricular activities
