Job summary

The role requires 5–7 years as a Business Analyst in Banking with knowledge of data governance concepts and tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking or financial services data governance and metadata management.
• Ability to define taxonomies, metadata standards, and data dictionaries.
• Experience documenting business requirements and user stories.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (BCBS 239, GDPR) and data governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain business taxonomies, glossaries, metadata models, and data classification frameworks.
• Collaborate with business, risk, compliance, regulatory, and technology teams to capture taxonomy requirements.
• Analyze data domains and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate classification of financial data.
• Support data governance initiatives including data quality, lineage, ownership, and stewardship.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to establish common definitions and standards.
• Work with Collibra, Alation, Informatica or similar platforms.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories.
• Ensure taxonomy frameworks align with BCBS 239, GDPR, and banking data standards.
• Support implementation and adoption of taxonomy standards across units.
• Produce governance reports and presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
