Oldham Council is seeking a Taxi MOT Receptionist at Moorhey Street Depot to support the licensing service, welcoming customers, coordinating vehicle keys and bookings, and assisting testers and vehicle owners. You will handle inquiries, provide guidance on vehicle testing processes, and maintain accurate records in line with licensing procedures, in a busy but friendly depot environment.

This permanent role is 36.66 hours per week with a salary of £26,847 per annum, reflecting the Grade 2 pay

Qualifikationen

• Experience of working with the public and delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience of using general office systems and procedures.
• Ability to communicate confidently, remain calm under pressure and deal professionally with challenging situations.
• Ability to converse with ease and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
• Understanding of the importance of data protection and confidentiality.

Aufgaben

• Welcome customers to the taxi testing depot and manage vehicle keys transfer.
• Liaise with testers and communicate test outcomes to vehicle owners.
• Use the licensing service booking system to manage appointments and records.
• Provide advice on vehicle testing processes in line with licensing procedures.
• Manage the taxi test mailbox and respond to enquiries.
