Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the UK is seeking a Manager in Tax Valuations to lead engagements, develop client relationships and drive growth within a specialist valuation practice. You will work closely with senior leaders on complex assignments across corporate clients and private equity-backed engagements.

You will apply PWERM and OPM valuation methods, coach junior staff, and contribute to the evolution of valuation tools and templates while maintaining high technical standards.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CTA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 2+ years of specific Tax Valuation experience at a professional services firm.
• Understanding of PWERM and option pricing methodologies (OPM).
• Familiarity with employment-related securities, inheritance tax and transfer pricing.
• Experience with share-based payment accounting, IFRS 2 and FRS 102 Section 26.
• Experience managing valuation engagements and coordinating teams.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Excellent report-writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Proactive coaching and development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax valuation engagements, liaising with clients, tax colleagues and external lawyers.
• Prepare and review valuation models, analyses and reports for tax purposes with appropriate methodologies.
• Project manage multiple engagements to budget and deadlines.
• Develop lasting client relationships and understand commercial objectives.
• Identify opportunities for new work across tax, reward, private equity and corporate advisory services.
• Support business development through proposals, pitches and thought leadership.
• Coach and develop junior team members and contribute to methodological improvements.
• Collaborate with Valuations, Tax, Equity Reward, M&A and advisory teams.
