The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to become a Manager within our team, transforming data into actionable insights that enable data-driven decision-making. You will help our clients leverage cutting-edge low-code technology solutions and collaborate with our global EY network to expand your professional influence.

Your responsibilities include managing client engagements, leading the implementation of innovative technology solutions, and optimizing clients' tax and finance data processes to meet evolving regulatory and compliance standards while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

You will utilize your expertise in tax/finance compliance, data governance, and process improvement to impact our clients' operations significantly. You will guide them through complex tax/finance transformations, ensuring compliance in a dynamic regulatory environment.

You will work closely with teams and clients to understand and solve problems using a broad range of technology and consulting skills.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support the team and clients in defining technology and transformation strategies to optimize operating models.
• Translate technical finance, tax, and technology information into clear, user-friendly presentations, training, and proposals.
• Develop compelling narratives to engage audiences and convey complex concepts effectively.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across functions to develop integrated technology solutions.
• Manage projects, define outcomes, develop delivery strategies, and manage stakeholders and change management efforts.
• Support and mentor team members, fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture.
• Contribute to business development and capability-building activities.
• Manage client relationships and oversee project delivery, coordinating with team members and offshore resources.
• Provide subject matter expertise in designing, developing, and implementing technology and data solutions.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Must have at least two of the following:

• Deep understanding of the end-to-end tax compliance lifecycle.
• Knowledge of statutory financial reporting processes and SOX environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or similar, and related modules.
• Functional knowledge of low-code solutions such as Microsoft Power Platform.
• Strong requirements gathering and design skills with a technology overlay.

And all of these:

• Strong project management skills (planning, resourcing, budgeting, governance).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical finance, tax, or advisory role.
• Understanding of statutory financial reporting and/or tax compliance processes.
• Accounting or Tax qualification preferred but not required.
• Experience coaching junior team members.
• Proven project management and delivery track record.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as needed.

Ideally, candidates will also have experience with automation, data technologies, and formal project management or process improvement certifications.
