Job summary

BDO invites you to a six-week Summer Internship that offers hands-on experience in Tax, working with clients and supported by a friendly team. The induction in Coventry and the chance to learn across service lines provide a strong start to your career with BDO.

You’ll be based in your chosen office (Edinburgh, Birmingham, etc.) for the remainder of the programme and are expected to commit to the full six weeks. A pathway to the graduate programme may follow on successful completion.

Qualifications

• Be a second-year undergraduate student seeking a summer placement.
• Must have a 2:2 degree (predicted or obtained).
• Three A-levels or equivalent at grades A*-C (or four Scottish Highers at A-B). Evidence may be requested.
• GCSEs at grade 4+ in Maths and English, or Scottish National 5 grade A-C.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical Tax experience by working with experienced colleagues.
• Learn about different Tax areas and how teams interact with clients.
• Be supported by colleagues and interns to build confidence and skills.
• Complete the internship with potential to join our graduate programme.

Education

Second-year undergraduate student

Minimum 2:2 degree

Three A-levels or equivalent

GCSE Maths and English grade 4+
