Managed Services Tax Technical - Senior Manager

A key focus for KPMG’s GCT team is to help multinational groups and financial services clients manage their global tax compliance, reporting and statutory accounting obligations through outsourcing, co-sourcing, transformation, and technology. The Tax Technical team is essential to all tax activities within GCT, providing expertise in complex tax audits. We prioritize audit quality and maintain a dedicated team of tax specialists. We also handle tax reporting, compliance, governance, and advisory work for large domestic and global clients.

We seek talented Senior Managers with experience in:

• Deep corporate tax compliance
• Engagement leadership
• Ad hoc tax advisory
• Tax reporting (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with diverse clients across sectors like finance, real estate, public sector, and FTSE-listed groups

Role & Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain client relationships, expanding experience and network
• Manage corporate tax compliance and outsourcing contracts
• Provide solutions for moderate complexity issues; draft advice on new legislation
• Respond to technical advice requests
• Enhance client efficiency through technology and controls
• Lead sales activities, support proposals, and generate new opportunities
• Mentor and develop junior staff
• Support group/statutory tax reporting, including project management under US GAAP and IFRS
• Contribute to tax audit technical input for multinational groups

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

At senior manager level, we seek proactive, curious, resilient leaders experienced in managing large engagements and client relationships, with relevant qualifications (ATT, CTA, ACA, or equivalent). Skills in project management and transformation (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are desirable. Specific experience areas include:

• BEPs: Knowledge of Pillar 2 and transformation support
• Managed Services: Leading delivery of global or large UK tax projects, expertise in tax reporting, transfer pricing, direct/indirect tax, statutory accounting
• Technology Transformation: Leading tech projects, experience with financial systems, ERP, tax tech (e.g., FICO, Thomson Reuters)
• Tax Operating Model: Designing and managing tax strategies, compliance, and governance
• Data Management: Deploying automation solutions, experience with Azure data lakes and similar tech

Experience in statutory and tax space is beneficial but not mandatory.
