Tax Senior

We’re working with a well-regarded and long-established accountancy firm in Liverpool to recruit a Tax Senior with a particular focus on Trusts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional with strong personal tax experience who is looking to specialise further and take ownership of an exciting portfolio of private clients.

Whether you’re ATT or CTA qualified, or part-way through your qualifications, this role offers the chance to deepen your expertise in a specialist area, with clear progression and support along the way.

You’ll be joining an experienced and collaborative private client team, supporting a portfolio that includes high-net-worth individuals, family estates, and a significant number of UK trusts.

You’ll also be involved in both compliance and advisory work, building long-term client relationships and working closely with senior stakeholders across the firm.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of private clients, including trusts and estates
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax and trust tax returns
• Advising on capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and succession planning
• Responding to HMRC and client queries in a timely and accurate manner
• Supporting partners on bespoke planning projects
• Identifying technical issues and tax planning opportunities
• Assisting with mentoring and supporting junior staff where appropriate

Candidate Requirements

• ATT or CTA qualified (or part-qualified with strong experience)

• Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
• A client-focused approach with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Self-motivated, organised, and confident working independently or as part of a team
