Job Description:

Established Tier 1 broker dealer, with a history of leading in Equity Finance trading. Due to expansion, they are seeking a Tax Operations Associate to join their team.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 1-2 days per week in the City office.

Contract duration is 6–12 months, inside IR35, with a possibility to convert to FTC.

Skills Required:

• Undergraduate degree with a strong mathematics component or equivalent experience/training
• Good understanding of Dividend processing and market compensation rules
• Experience with dividend tax reclaims/stamp/FTT/US Tax processing is desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Attention to detail
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Collaborative approach for working with international teams
• Ability to identify gaps and risks in tax operations and propose solutions

Candidates from Settlements/Operations/Corporate Actions backgrounds with dividend knowledge and eagerness to learn about Tax are also considered.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end processing of Dividend Tax reclaim process
• Handling FTT and Stamp duty
• Daily communication with trading desks, operations, accounts, and custodians
• Monitoring and clearing cash reconciliations
• Flexibility and hands-on approach due to small team size (2 members)
• Participation in departmental projects, including the integration of Tax Operations into the new in-house system (EnTrack)
