Brewer Morris is partnering with a luxury UK brand to recruit a Senior Tax Manager based in London. You will join the London tax team and collaborate with Group Finance, FP&A, IT and Systems, Legal and Commercial to provide practical tax guidance and support where needed.

Responsibilities

• Embed good tax practice across finance and other business functions.
• Support tax-related finance transformation initiatives and IT/system projects.
• Assist with international tax matters, including PE risk management.
• Support CbCR and Pillar Two readiness and processes for future compliance.
• Provide direct tax input to commercial and operational projects.
• Help build UK compliance processes end-to-end with the local finance team.
• Manage compliance timetables, information requests and deliverables for filing and reporting.
• Oversee outsourced UK tax compliance providers and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Review tax calculations and disclosures before submission and reporting.
• Develop and maintain a clear direct tax governance framework.
• Support design and rollout of UK direct tax policies, controls and governance.

Job description

Brewer Morris is partnering with this successful luxury brand to search for a Senior Tax Manager to join the London tax team.

This business is a well-known UK brand with an impressive growth journey. As a Tax Manager, you will collaborate with teams across the business including Group Finance, FP&A, IT and Systems, Legal and Commercial, providing practical tax guidance and support where needed. You will report to the Senior Tax Manager and work alongside 3 others in the London tax team.

A few of your responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Senior Tax Manager in engaging with finance and other business functions to embed good tax practice into day-to-day processes.
• Supporting wider finance transformation initiatives and systems implementations from a tax perspective, including working with Finance and IT teams to identify tax requirements, process impacts and control considerations.
• Assisting with international tax matters, including permanent establishment (PE) risk management.
• Supporting Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and Pillar Two assessments, readiness activities, and the development of processes for future compliance.
• Providing direct tax input into commercial and operational projects, helping the business understand tax considerations at an early stage.
• Helping to build out UK compliance processes end-to-end, working directly with and supporting the local UK finance team throughout each compliance cycle.
• Helping to manage compliance timetables, information requests and deliverables to ensure filing and reporting deadlines are met.
• Overseeing outsourced UK tax compliance providers, coordinating delivery and ensuring quality and timeliness against agreed deadlines.
• Reviewing tax calculations and disclosures prepared internally or by external advisers ahead of submission and reporting.
• Helping to develop and maintain a clear direct tax governance framework, including documented roles, responsibilities, review points and escalation processes.
• Supporting the design and rollout of foundational UK direct tax policies, controls and processes, including corporation tax compliance, tax accounting and governance documentation.

To be considered for this position, you should ideally be ACA, CTA, or ACCA qualified with demonstratable international and UK corporate tax experience. Excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate and liaise with key stakeholders are essential. This is a fast-paced environment perfect for someone who is ambitious and a self-starter.

This opportunity offers £85,000-£90,000 base salary plus 15% discretionary bonus and benefits. The tax team follow a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office.
