The team collaborates across sectors and offers support to grow in a dynamic, professional environment within the Crawley offices.

Qualificações

• CTA qualification preferred; ACA/ACCA qualified candidates with proven experience may also be considered.
• Experience with corporate taxes is essential; experience in other areas of tax, especially international tax, is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Liaising and corresponding with HMRC regarding clearance applications and enquiries.
• Drafting reports and letters of advice for a range of tax advisory issues.
• Preparing calculations to support advice.
• Liaising with clients and attending meetings with team members.
• Training and reviewing the work of junior staff.
• Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group.
• Examples: transfer pricing and cross-border transactions; overseas expansion (inbound/outbound); corporate reconstructions and investor reliefs; staff incentive schemes; corporate interest restriction; owner-managed remuneration and succession planning; R&D tax credit claims; reviewing tax computations and returns; tax due diligence and M&A, including EOTs; capital allowance planning.

We are looking for a highly motivated Manager to work within our Tax Advisory Group based in our Crawley offices. The position would suit a motivated, dynamic individual who would already specialises in tax or who has significant tax experience working in an accounts/audit team. Our Tax Advisory Group provides tax advice across a wide variety of sectors and taxes with an increasing amount of international tax projects. Training and support will be provided to the right individual to further develop existing tax knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

The CTA qualification is preferred however the right person who is either ACA or ACCA qualified will also be considered. Experience with corporate taxes is essential and experience in other areas of tax will also be beneficial, in particular international tax aspects.

Responsibilities would include:

• Liaising and corresponding with HMRC in respect of clearance applications, enquiries etc
• Drafting reports and letters of advice for a number of tax advisory issues
• Preparing calculations to support advice
• Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members
• Training and reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
• Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group

Examples of work you would assist the team with include:

• Transfer pricing and cross border transactions.
• Overseas expansion – inbound and outbound
• Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes
• Corporate interest restriction
• Advising owner-managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning
• Preparation of research & development claims
• Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns
• Tax due diligence work and M&A transaction, including EOTs
• Capital Allowance planning and reviews

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• You should be an experienced tax adviser to SMEs and their owner/managers
• CTA qualified is advantageous, however candidates that are ATT/ACA qualified with proven experience may also be considered.
