Job description

A UK retail group is searching for a Tax Manager to join the team in Swindon.

As the Tax Manager, you work closely with the wider finance team and business partner with senior stakeholders across the business.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Completion of all UK corporate tax computations and returns.
  • Preparation of the half year and full year tax disclosures, working closely with the Finance team in the preparation of the tax numbers and preparation of periodic tax journals.
  • Preparing calculations for UK&I corporate tax payments and ensuring payments are accurately budgeted for and tracked;
  • Responsible for the completion of quarterly VAT returns for the group.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external advisors to maximise tax planning opportunities for the business.
  • Business partnering with senior stakeholders in the business and answering tax-related queries.

To be considered for this position, you should be ACCA, ACA or CTA qualified with in-house tax experience, or broad ranging tax experience from a Big 4 or Top 20 firm. The hiring manager is looking for someone who is proactive, willing to take the lead on projects, and able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Unfortunately, this position does not offer visa sponsorship.

This opportunity will pay £70,000-£80,000 plus bonus and benefits. The team follow a hybrid of 3 days in the office.
