Job summary

Clark Wood are working with a forward-thinking accountancy firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Tax Manager to join their established tax team in Stoke On Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified tax professional looking to take the next step in their career, working closely with Partners and advising a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses.

The role covers managing a portfolio of complex tax clients, planning and advisory work, acquisitions, IHT and estate

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with 5+ years post-qualification experience in practice.
• Experience advising owner-managed businesses across corporation tax, income tax and CGT.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded and ambitious.
• Confident working collaboratively within a progressive team.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
• Supporting and developing junior members of the team.
• Acting as a technical resource for the wider network.

About You

• CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with ideally 5+ years' post-qualified experience in practice.
• Strong experience advising OMBs across corporation tax, income tax and CGT.
• VAT experience desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded and ambitious.
• Confident working collaboratively within a progressive team.
