Clark Wood – Tax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a growing UK accountancy practice. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of corporate, owner-managed and private clients, delivering compliance, planning and advisory services.

The role suits a CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified tax professional, or someone qualified by experience, aiming to progress within a progressive firm with strong client liaison and advisory work.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ACCA qualification or qualified by experience.
• Experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience managing a varied tax portfolio.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Commercial and proactive approach to client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate, OMB and private clients.
• Prepare and review complex Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns.
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients.
• Advise high-net-worth individuals on Inheritance Tax, trusts and estate planning.
• Liaise with HMRC and support clients through tax enquiries and investigations.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.
• Work closely with Partners and other departments on complex tax and advisory assignments.
• Review work and provide technical support and guidance to junior members of the tax team.
• Contribute to improvements in tax processes, systems and technology.

The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of corporate, owner-managed and private clients, providing a combination of tax compliance, planning and advisory services.

As a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate, OMB and private clients.
• Preparing and reviewing complex Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns.
• Providing proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients.
• Advising high-net-worth individuals on areas including Inheritance Tax, trusts and estate planning.
• Liaising with HMRC and supporting clients through tax enquiries and investigations.
• Building strong, long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
• Working closely with Partners and other departments on complex tax and advisory assignments.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience.

• A commercial and proactive approach to client service.
