Job summary

Accountable-Recruitment is assisting a growing regional practice to recruit a Tax Manager in the Manchester area, with flexibility for Altrincham, Chester or Bury. Salary £56,000–£67,000 per year, with a hybrid working pattern across regional offices.

You will join a Tax Advisory team and support business owners and high-growth clients on a wide range of tax planning and structuring matters, while coaching junior staff and delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-qualification experience in tax within practice.
• Experience advising OMBs on corporation tax, income tax and CGT.
• Exposure to VAT is a plus, but not essential.
• Strong communicator with a proactive, hands-on attitude.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Tax Directors and Senior Managers on complex advisory and compliance projects.
• Deliver high-quality advice on acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations, EOTs, share schemes, incorporations and remuneration planning.
• Lead HMRC enquiry responses and review junior team work.
• Coach, develop and inspire junior members of the tax team.

As aTax Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Advisory team – supporting business owners and high-growth clients on a wide range of tax planning and structuring matters.

Your role will involve:

Partnering with Tax Directors and Senior Managers on complex advisory and compliance projects

Delivering high-quality advice on acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations, EOTs, share schemes, incorporations and remuneration planning

Leading HMRC enquiry responses and reviewing junior team work

Acting as a trusted technical resource for smaller firms and internal teams

Coaching, developing and inspiring junior members of the tax team
