Our client is a well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice with multiple offices across the North West. They provide accounting, tax, audit and advisory services to SMEs, owner-managed businesses and private clients, and have built a strong reputation for delivering a proactive, relationship-driven service. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join their established tax team.
Role Overview - Tax Manager
- Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients including high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, landlords and trusts.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing both compliance and advisory services.
- Deliver tax planning advice across a range of personal and business tax matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser.
- Handle HMRC enquiries, disclosures and investigations.
- Work closely with Partners and colleagues across the firm to provide commercially focused solutions.
- Support the development of junior team members where appropriate.
- Enjoy a high level of autonomy with genuine opportunities for career progression.
Role Requirements
- Tax Manager CTA/ATT qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong personal tax background gained within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing your own client portfolio.
- Exposure to advisory-led work for individuals and owner-managed businesses.
- Confident dealing directly with clients and building long-term relationships.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide practical, commercially focused tax advice.
- Trust experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary & Benefits - Tax Manager
- Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.
