A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Tax professional to collaborate with the Group Tax Director to enhance tax strategies and ensure compliance with HMRC. This pivotal role requires expertise in tax qualifications, legislation, and strong analytical capabilities to handle returns and audits effectively.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant Tax qualification (ATT/CTA).
• Possess strong understanding of various areas of Tax.
• Demonstrate ability to handle Tax audits and legislation changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare organisation's tax returns to HMRC.
• Lead on Tax audits.
• Analyse and prepare VAT returns for all UK VAT.

Job description

• Working with the Group Tax Director, play a pivotal part in strategic plans to progress and maximise different aspects of tax
• Take responsibility for the initial preparation of the organisation tax returns to HMRC
• Review changes in tax legislation and assess how these changes may affect the organisation and advise stakeholder accordingly
• Act as the lead on Tax audits
• Take the lead on the analysis and preparation of the VAT returns for all UK VAT

Person:

• Must be a hold a relevant Tax qualification (ATT/CTA)
• Possess an understanding of relevant Tax legislation
• Must have a strong understanding over various areas of Tax
• Have strong system skills including advanced MS Excel
• Demonstrate a ‘Team first’ attitude
