Job description

Experienced Tax Senior / Manager required to join a growing Accountancy Practice based in Hertford, Hertfordshire. This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.30, which offers remote working after a successful probation period.

This is a hands-on tax role, managing a portfolio of clients, primarily personal tax, with some corporation tax.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle personal tax returns independently as part of the tax team.
2. Maintain a client-facing role, managing a portfolio of clients.
3. Assist with P11d processing and cover payroll during holiday periods if needed.
4. Support general accounts work in the future, working alongside team members to manage around 900 personal tax returns and 350 CT600s, with partner support.
5. Participate in training and development, with study support for ATT/CTA/ACCA qualifications.

Requirements:

• Qualified by experience in a tax role or working towards ACCA / CTA / ATT qualification.
• 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in both personal and corporation tax.
• Full driver's license and own vehicle.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work within a 4- or 5-day week.
• Availability for core hours 09.00 - 17.30, Monday - Friday.
• On-site parking in Hertford SG14.
• Based in Hertford.
