Tax Manager Position at a Chartered Accountancy Practice

TPF Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established multi-office chartered accountancy practice based in Eastbourne. They are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be ACA, ACCA, ATT, or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience. This role is ideal for an experienced Tax Manager looking to join a growing team with exceptional exposure and genuine career prospects.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a portfolio of approximately 260 tax clients, including individuals, sole traders, partners, and directors.
2. Maintain regular client contact proactively, listen to their needs, and suggest initiatives and improvements.
3. Handle correspondence, reminders, check tax codes, calculate payments on account, and meet client deadlines.
4. Prepare and submit personal and partnership tax returns, including computations.
5. Prepare P11Ds, deal with Tax Credits, Rental Accounts, and Income and Expenditure Accounts.
6. Tax planning and CGT returns.
7. Calculate WIP provisions for internal reporting and billing.
8. Apply technical expertise in accounting and tax, interpreting laws, regulations, and standards for a diverse client portfolio.
9. Assist Directors, Managers, and team members with ad hoc tax queries.
10. Handle new client inquiries and conduct technical tax research for clients.
