Job description

Exciting opportunity within a Chartered Accountancy Practice for a Senior Client Accountant based in East Grinstead. This full-time, permanent role is well suited to an experienced Tax Accountant looking to work closely with an already established portfolio.

Accountancy Practice Overview

The practice is well established and currently experiencing exponential growth.

Role Overview

As Tax Portfolio Manager, you will work directly alongside the partner, acting as the main point of contact for all client communications and queries within the practice. You will also assist with the review and training of junior staff when necessary.

Responsibilities

1. Manage client relationships, including meetings and phone calls to discuss accounts/tax returns, responding to queries, and providing technical advice.
2. Advise clients on best practices and processes.
3. Assist with staff training and development.
4. Handle dealings with HMRC regarding inspections or enquiries.
5. Prepare advance assurance forms for HMRC in various situations.
6. Prepare personal and business tax returns.
7. Assist in other areas as required by the partners.

Requirements

• At least 4 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Preferably qualified with ACCA, ACA, ATT, or CTA.
• QBE (Qualified By Experience) candidates encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Within commuting distance of East Grinstead.
• Full driver’s license and own vehicle.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Salary range: £48,000 - £60,000 per annum.
• Hybrid working (up to 4 days at home).
• 4% of work billed paid monthly.
• Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5:30 pm.
• Private medical care.
• 5% employer contribution pension scheme.
