As part of the EMEA Tax team, you will play a key role in supporting and driving the company's regional tax strategy, ensuring robust tax governance, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with local and international tax regulations.

You will contribute across a broad range of direct and indirect tax matters, including tax compliance, tax accounting, policy monitoring, risk management, and the identification and implementation of tax planning opportunities.

Working closely with the Global Tax team, you will build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across Operations, Legal, Policy, and Finance, as well as external tax advisors and relevant authorities throughout the EMEA region.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of regional tax matters, influence cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to the development and execution of the company's wider tax strategy.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive tax compliance: Support and oversee direct and indirect tax compliance activities across the EMEA region, ensuring accurate and timely submission of tax returns and payments.
  • Ensure accurate tax reporting: Support the preparation and review of regional tax provisions, ensuring that corporate income tax, deferred tax, and indirect tax positions are accurately reflected in the financial statements.
  • Identify tax opportunities: Proactively identify tax planning opportunities, develop recommendations, and lead or support their implementation.
  • Manage tax audits and engagements: Support local, regional, and country-level tax audits, negotiations, implementations, and compliance matters.
  • Build strong partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external tax advisors across EMEA to deliver effective tax solutions and implement regional and global tax strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance tax processes, controls, and ways of working, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support tax policy initiatives: Monitor developments in tax legislation, assess their potential business impact, and contribute to policy submissions and engagement with relevant stakeholders.
  • Champion tax governance: Support the implementation of the company's tax policy objectives and ensure alignment with the broader global tax framework.
Day-to-day
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and will include:
  • Partnering with the Global Tax team, sharing relevant regional developments and contributing to global tax projects and initiatives.
  • Managing relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders, providing guidance and support on tax-related matters.
  • Taking ownership of tax planning opportunities, coordinating stakeholders, and managing projects through to successful implementation.
  • Reviewing and approving direct and indirect tax payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable deadlines.
  • Overseeing the timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns across the region.
  • Reviewing monthly and quarterly tax accounting journals, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitoring changes in tax legislation and proactively assessing their implications for the business.
About you:

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded tax professional who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive approach, sound business judgement, and the ability to build effective relationships across a complex, multinational environment.

You will ideally bring:
  • Professional qualifications: A recognised tax qualification, such as CTA, is preferred. An accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA would also be advantageous.
  • Relevant experience: At least 8 years of relevant tax experience within a Big Four firm and/or the tax department of a multinational organisation.
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge and experience across direct and indirect taxation, tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax reporting.
  • Stakeholder management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Project management: The ability to manage multiple priorities, take ownership of initiatives, and drive projects through to completion.
  • Analytical capabilities: Strong attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex tax matters and translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Adaptability: A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and evolving business environment.
  • Languages: Additional language capabilities are an advantage but are not essential.

The role offers exposure to complex regional and international tax matters, opportunities to influence business decisions, and the chance to contribute to strategic initiatives that shape the company's tax approach.
