Job description

Tax Manager | London (1 day in office) | International Group | Private Equity-Backed

Lead Global Tax. Influence Strategy. Drive International Growth.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Manager to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed international business during a pivotal stage of expansion.

Following several strategic acquisitions, the business is strengthening its global finance function and is seeking an experienced tax professional to take ownership of its international tax agenda. Working closely with the CFO and Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in developing the Group's tax strategy, supporting international growth and ensuring best-in-class governance across multiple jurisdictions.

Whilst this role offers some exposure to Treasury activities, the primary focus will be on international tax strategy, compliance and advisory, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to broaden their commercial influence within a dynamic global organisation.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you'll lead all aspects of the Group's tax function across a growing international business.

This is a highly visible role, providing expert tax advice to senior leadership, supporting strategic acquisitions and ensuring the organisation remains compliant whilst optimising its global tax position.

You'll work closely with Finance, Legal and external advisers, influencing business decisions and helping shape the Group's international growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
International Tax Strategy
  • Develop and implement the Group's global tax strategy across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Provide commercially focused tax advice to senior stakeholders on strategic business initiatives.
  • Ensure the business maintains an efficient, low-risk and compliant global tax framework.
  • Monitor changes in international tax legislation, including BEPS and Pillar Two, recommending appropriate action where required.
Corporate Tax & Compliance
  • Lead all aspects of corporate tax compliance across the Group.
  • Oversee corporation tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes and other international tax obligations.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisers and tax authorities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee tax audits, enquiries and any complex tax matters.
  • Own and develop the Group's transfer pricing framework.
  • Ensure all intercompany transactions are appropriately documented and compliant.
  • Manage Country-by-Country Reporting, Master File and Local File requirements.
  • Review cross-border funding arrangements and support tax-efficient business structures.
Tax Accounting & Reporting
  • Lead the preparation of current and deferred tax provisions.
  • Manage effective tax rate reporting and tax disclosures.
  • Support statutory reporting and year-end audit processes.
  • Partner with external auditors on all tax-related matters.
M&A & Commercial Projects
  • Support acquisitions, integrations and corporate restructuring from a tax perspective.
  • Advise on transaction structuring, due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
  • Assess tax risks and opportunities associated with international expansion.
  • Provide tax expertise on strategic commercial projects across the Group.
Treasury Support (Approx. 20–30%)
  • Support Treasury activities including cash forecasting and liquidity planning.
  • Assist with banking relationships and funding structures.
  • Provide tax input into Treasury and financing arrangements.
  • Support foreign exchange and cross-border funding initiatives where required.
About You

We're looking for an experienced international tax professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions within a fast-paced, international environment.

You’ll ideally possess:

  • ACA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Significant experience in corporate and international tax.
  • Strong understanding of transfer pricing and cross-border tax matters.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of BEPS, Pillar Two and evolving international tax legislation.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations or corporate restructuring.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance technical expertise and practical business solutions.

Exposure to Treasury, cash management or financing structures would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why Apply?
  • Take ownership of the global tax agenda within a growing international organisation.
  • Work directly with the CFO and Executive Leadership Team on strategic business decisions.
  • Play a key role in international expansion and acquisition integration.
  • Broad exposure to M&A, international tax strategy and executive-level decision making.
  • Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where you'll have genuine influence.
  • Excellent career progression and the opportunity to shape the future of the Group's tax function.
