Tax Manager

Looking to lead a high-performing tax team and deliver expert advisory services in a firm that values initiative, development, and excellence?

We’re on the lookout for a talented Tax Manager to take ownership of the tax function within a dynamic and growing practice. This role combines client advisory work with operational oversight and team leadership — ideal for someone ready to make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the tax department, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with deadlines.
• Deliver expert tax services, including year-end and pre-5 April planning, forecasting, and technical advice.
• Review team output to maintain high quality, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.
• Monitor departmental performance and recoverability, implementing improvements where needed.
• Manage and coach team members, conduct appraisals, and support ongoing development.
• Engage with prospective and existing clients, supporting onboarding and advisory work.
• Contribute to practice growth and help drive improvements in service delivery and internal processes.

What You’ll Bring

• A recognised tax or accountancy qualification (CTA, ACA, or ACCA).
• Strong experience in tax compliance and advisory services.
• A confident, proactive approach to leadership and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
