Job summary

Taxation in Manchester seeks a Tax Director to lead the tax function, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory work for a client base that includes owner-managed businesses, SMEs and high-net-worth individuals.

You will work closely with partners, acting as a trusted adviser on complex tax matters while driving business development and cross-selling services to support the firm’s growth.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
• Senior Manager or Director level experience within a practice environment
• Strong technical expertise across corporate and/or personal tax
• Proven ability to deliver high-level advisory work
• Experience managing and developing client relationships
• Track record of supporting business development and firm growth
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities

• Leading the tax function, ensuring the delivery of both compliance and advisory services to the highest standard
• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Providing strategic tax planning advice across corporate, personal, and business tax matters
• Supporting the continued development of the firm's advisory offering
• Identifying and driving business development opportunities, including cross-selling services

Your new role

As Tax Director, you will be a senior leader within the practice, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality tax services while supporting the strategic direction and growth of the firm.
