Job description

Tax Director

Location: Maidenhead

Type: Permanent

Reporting to the Tax Partner and other partners, the successful candidate will manage a team of 5 CTAs and 3 ATT trainees. They will oversee the profitable delivery of the firm's tax compliance and advisory services and contribute to expanding the firm's client base.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Oversee tax compliance and advisory functions
2. Manage a client portfolio, providing high-quality service
3. Deliver detailed tax advice on matters including:

• OMB tax planning
• Business sale, acquisition, and transactional matters
• CGT and IHT
• Employment-related securities
• Non-resident and non-domiciled tax planning/advice
• Tax enquiry work and review of Self Assessment tax returns, self-employed accounts, and rental accounts

Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures

Employer Expectations

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of establishing client confidence and growing the tax practice. They will be self-motivated, energetic, and able to work independently to meet deadlines. Typically, the candidate will be a qualified accountant and CTA qualified, with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience in both tax compliance and advisory work. Holding both accountancy and tax qualifications is advantageous.
