Job description

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Tax Deals Restructuring team based in London.

The role sits within the Restructuring Tax team, primarily advising on large-scale refinancings, debt and capital restructurings, and corporate insolvencies. We work across the Deals business with a market that covers large corporate clients and lenders operating globally, across various industries including retail, manufacturing, insurance, banking, pensions, real estate, PFI, private equity, and credit.

As part of the team, you'll experience an unparalleled opportunity to develop your career and build your reputation as a trusted adviser working in a high-performing environment. You'll work on complex projects and gain experience with prestigious and diverse clients—from multinational organizations and private equity firms to start-ups and owner-managed businesses.

What your days will look like
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of key client accounts.
  • You will work directly with clients, their lawyers, bankers, and other stakeholders.
  • You will collaborate closely with PwC professionals worldwide to deliver efficient service to clients.
  • You will be involved in preparing and managing client deliverables.
  • You will provide guidance to junior team members and support senior members.
  • You will gain exposure to the commercial aspects of transactions and incorporate this understanding into your work approach.

This role is for you if
  • You possess an ACA or CTA qualification (or international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience, including international candidates qualifying through experience in their home country.
  • You have previous tax experience.
  • You have experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • You are capable of planning and delivering work under tight deadlines.
  • You are responsive to change and adaptable to new situations.
  • You have developed communication skills, especially in negotiating and influencing others.
  • You demonstrate an analytical and logical approach to work.
  • You are willing to learn and work outside your comfort zone.

What you'll receive from us

Our benefits are designed to support you at every stage of your career and personal life, recognizing and rewarding your contributions fairly. We offer flexible working arrangements, private medical cover, 24/7 access to a virtual GP, six volunteering days annually, and more.
