Aviva plc is seeking a Tax Associate to join the Tax team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with locations in Norwich, Bristol, York or Leeds on a 50% hybrid basis. The role focuses on operational tax matters related to investment assets and requires strong analytical and Excel skills.

This is a great role for a Finance or Tax professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems and learning about how tax supports investment decisions. You might already have tax or finance experience, or might be looking to develop your expertise in a specialist area. This role would suit someone who is organised, naturally curious and enjoys working with colleagues across different teams to deliver great outcomes.
You'll join our Tax team, supporting Aviva businesses in the UK and Ireland, as well as Aviva Investors and a range of managed funds. The team provides specialist advice across several tax disciplines, helping the business stay compliant and operate effectively. In this role, you'll focus on operational tax matters linked to investment assets held around the world, helping ensure the right tax processes, documentation and controls are in place. You'll work closely with colleagues, custodians and external partners to support withholding tax activity and maintain high standards of compliance. You'll also play a key role in improving processes and helping us find simpler, more efficient ways of working.
Experience in tax or financial services, ideally with exposure to operational taxes.
Strong attention to detail and numerical skills, with the ability to work accurately in a technical environment.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
Good communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
A proactive mindset, with an interest in learning new skills and improving processes.
