Job summary

Jobtailor is recruiting for a Tankered Waste Operations role within the Bioresources sector. You will support waste reception, analytical testing, and on-site discharge operations while engaging with Severn Trent Water stakeholders.

Key duties include sampling, paperwork, and data reporting to meet SLA/KPI requirements. The role requires a driving licence and strong problem-solving and communication skills, with training offered for industry specifics.

Qualifications

• Proven marketing experience at a senior level.
• Comfortable working from multiple Severn Trent Water locations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision making with key stakeholders.
• Hold a full driving licence.
• Great attention to detail and excellent communication/problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of water or waste industry and wastewater processes (beneficial but not essential as training will be provided).

Responsibilities

• Support the operation and growth of the Tankered Waste business in Bioresources.
• Provide a waste reception and control service and a customer point of contact across the Severn Trent Waters region.
• Work closely with Production colleagues on-site to provide a swift, reliable and professional service to customers.
• Ensure that samples of waste loads are taken and analytical testing is performed & recorded.
• Ensure appropriate paperwork and records are completed and dealt with appropriately.
• Perform consistent and effective process for acceptance or rejection of loads.
• Operate the waste discharge tanks onsite.
• Liaise with site operational staff on a daily basis.
• Record & compile data, produce reports and support delivery of relevant SLA’s / KPIs and requirements of the Tankered Waste Team & Manager.
• Work in other sampling duties as required such as for domestic waste.
