EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
The primary objective of this role is to safely operate vacuum tankers for the collection and transport of sewage sludge between Severn Trent Services (STS) sites. The operator must comply with road transport legislation and STS policies and procedures, and actively participate in various meetings, including Comm Cells and Team Meetings.
Some of the key accountabilities of this role are:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
To be successful in this role, you must have a full driving license – LGV C+E and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
You’ll also be expected to have the ability to operate STS specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment. You should be able to safely access vehicle cabs, sites, and offices using correct procedures, such as 3 points of contact. You must be capable of manipulating flexible pipework (up to 5” diameter) safely using correct manual handling techniques.
Additionally, you’ll be able to work unsupervised in all weather conditions, utilizing correct PPE and lone worker systems. The ability to dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions upon arrival is essential.
The role holder will need to be able to secure and retain full MoD (SC) security clearance.
